A play about the fear of the future, especially that fear which occupies the mind of a high schooler…

Two friends fall into conversation about the stress of college applications, quickly spiraling into existential discussion over decision making, pressure, uncertainty, and fate. We flip back and forth between their analytic conversation and increasingly unhinged “What if?” scenarios. Parallelisms, both in the universe-sense and literary device-sense, haunt their deep-dive into what it means to make the future your own.

Grace Janczak (Playwright and Director) was a senior at STEM and long-time member of Players Troupe. This play was her passion project, having allowed her to express and process her own absurd spirals in simultaneously dramatic and comedic terms.
