A Midsummer Night's Dream is a Shakespearean masterwork in the art of mockery. Post-Romeo-and-Juliet, our troupe was in need of a little dose of self awareness. Luckily, for all his beautiful proclamations of the language of love, Shakespeare sure knows how to be tongue-in-cheek. Exactly as it sounds, Midsummer is a chaotic fever-dream of botched love spells, jealous teenage romance, and questionable wedding entertainment in which Shakespeare mocks Cupid and all his foolish victims.
